Mining Remediation

EI Australia brings significant specialist capability in mining remediation through the extensive hands-on experience of our senior technical team.

With over 30 years’ experience in contaminated land management, including our Technical Director Brendan has led the development and application of innovative soil and water remediation technologies across multiple continents. He has served as technical lead and subject matter expert on numerous large-scale soil and groundwater remediation projects in the mining, oil & gas, industrial, and government sectors in Australia, New Zealand, Asia, the USA, and the Caribbean.

His practical expertise includes the design and deployment of advanced remedial solutions, such as colloidal activated carbon applications in sensitive wetland environments, modified Multi-Phase Vacuum Extraction systems for deep hydrocarbon recovery at mine sites, and the successful remediation of complex contaminants, including a rare neonicotinoid in groundwater. Brendan’s current research focuses on innovative techniques such as shallow soil flooding for PFAS stabilisation and water treatment technologies aimed at reducing reliance on freshwater resources.

This depth of real-world experience enables EI Australia to deliver practical, innovative, and effective remediation solutions for the unique challenges of mining environments, from tailings management and acid mine drainage to site closure and legacy contamination.

We welcome enquiries from mining companies and government agencies seeking specialist technical support in this sector.
